Workflow

Workflow is a very powerful thing. It’s not a hard concept to grasp, yet it’s the hardest one to put into practice, yet it is possible through NVISH. Workflow systems built by NVISH are defined as "Systems that help organizations to specify, execute, monitor, and coordinate the flow of work cases within a distributed office environment".

The workflow modeling component (sometimes called specification module, design environment or build time system) which enables administrators and analysts to define process and activities, analyze and simulate them, and assign them to people. The workflow execution component, sometimes called the run-time system which most often consists of an execution interface seen by end-users and a workflow engine. The workflow engine is an execution environment which assists or performs the coordination of processes and activities. (See also: Load balancing (computing)).

Workflow

  • Model, Simulate, Automate and optimize your business processes
  • Bring agility to your business
  • Gain control over your business activities
  • Increases efficiency and performance

Basic Workflow products overlap with BPM systems as they address one element of BPM, providing for the definition and flow of operations performed by people. Workflow systems developed by NVISH:

• Are designed for groupware and human collaboration applications.
• Do not integrate operations to be performed by software systems.
• Typically are based on client-server architectures (rather than Web-based thin client architectures)
• Limit operations to those performed inside the enterprise.
• Do not allow business rules to be aggregated with business operations.
